which would include a dragon procession, a military tattoo, a firework display and other forms of public

enjoyment.

If this project is to be carried through in

time it is necessary that the first steps should be taken

at an early date: I have, therefore, the honour to ask

that His Majesty's gracious approval of it may be sought. Should that permission be granted I shall be very

grateful for any intimation of His Majesty's wishes

as to the choice of the sculptor or, failing the

expression of such a wish, for the benefit of your

advice on the matter.
